Mission Statement

Our mission is to deliver four BWR-N nuclear power plants into commercial operation in the Nordic region before 2037 and establish a new Nordic standard for safety, delivery capability, economic performance, and long-term sustainability.

We will show that new nuclear power can be delivered on time, at the right cost, and with outstanding performance for generations to come.

    Jonas brings two decades of experience from the nuclear industry, combining deep technical and regulatory expertise with strong strategic leadership.

    He leads NNE into its next phase, building on the company’s capabilities and positioning it for continued growth.

    Øresund Node – Malmö

    Experienced ASEA Atom and ABB executive with international leadership roles across Europe and the Americas.

    Co-founded Rummler-Brache Group Europe and played a central role in the award-winning Filtra-MVSS safety system.

  • Stefan Persson

    Board Member

    Stockholm Node

    Extensive leadership experience in nuclear and energy sectors, including CEO of Forsmark NPP and later a district heating company in Stockholm.

    Previously held managerial roles at Vattenfall and Forsmark, after starting his career at ABB Atom with reactor and fuel design work in Sweden and the US.

  • Martin Hjelmeland

    Stavanger Node

    Martin is an engineer and entrepreneur specializing in energy systems with a focus on nuclear energy. He has extensive experience from both academia and the power industry.

    As CEO and Co-Founder of Arv Energy AS, he works to connect Norway’s offshore and industrial expertise with the nuclear energy sector.

  • Johan Engström

    Expert Balance of Plant and BWR Technology

    Stockholm Node

    Over 40 years of experience in nuclear power, with leadership roles at ABB Atom and Westinghouse in plant development, sales, project management, uprates, and modernization.

    Experienced in plant operations and responsible for the conceptual design of severe accident mitigation measures implemented across all Nordic BWRs. Served as senior adviser at Vattenfall AB.

  • Kristina Wojnicki

    Investor Relations

    Øresund Node – Malmö

    Economist and experienced leader with a background in coaching, mentoring, and business management. Focusing on Investor Relations and fostering long-term partnerships between innovation and business growth.

    Experienced in leadership and management roles across national and international contexts, with a track record of guiding teams and organizations to achieve sustainable results.

  • Mikko Rintamäki

    Helsinki Node

    More than 30 years in the Finnish energy sector. Spent 20 years at Outokumpu Group, nine of them leading its energy unit and serving on boards in hydro, CHP, wind, and nuclear.

    Later CEO of Energiakolmio, consultant, and manager of major energy user associations. Led Kokkolan Energia Oy from 2015–2022 and sat on the boards of Pohjolan Voima and Fingrid’s national grid committee.

  • Juhani Hyvärinen

    Co-Founder & Senior Nuclear Expert

    Helsinki Node

    Internationally recognized safety expert with experience at Finland’s nuclear regulator STUK and as Chief Nuclear Officer at Fennovoima. Contributed to major advances in nuclear safety and risk analysis.

    Professor of Nuclear Engineering at LUT University, specializing in safety, security, and passive reactor systems.

    PR & Communication Manager

    Lovisa is a PR- and communication expert with more than 15 years of experience from the communication industry.

    Over the years, Lovisa has worked with some of the most interesting and innovative scale-ups in Sweden as well as the entire Nordic region.

  • Bo-Göran Jaxelius

    CFO & Board Member

    Bosse has 25 years of experience as CFO in various industries in Sweden, such as Software, Hospitality, Sports Consumer Goods and Energy infrastructure. CFO in three companies listed at the Swedish stock market.

    Background as an auditor with Deloitte. Experience as interim CFO at Nordion Energi AB, the Swedish Transmission System Operator (TSO) for the Swedish gas market and owner of the gas grid.

  • Co-Founder & Process Expert

    More than five decades in the nuclear power industry, starting at Atomenergi AB in 1968. Project Manager for the development and sales of CLAB at ASEA-Atom.

    Head of the Process Technology Department as well as the Mechanical and Plant Design Department at ABB Atom. Project Manager for the development work of the BWR90+ at Westinghouse.

  • Co-Founder & Projects Expert

    Extensive project leadership in nuclear and energy systems, including commissioning Olkiluoto 1 and leading upgrades at Oskarshamn and Forsmark.

    Directed India’s first HVDC plant and Abu Dhabi’s SCADA control centers. Early career included engineering at Boeing on the 747 program.

  • Co-Founder & Senior Nuclear Expert

    Over 40 years at ASEA-Atom and Westinghouse, later senior advisor to Vattenfall, SKB, and international projects in Finland, Belgium, and the UK.

    Experienced in decommissioning, modernization, and new build initiatives, and former director of the Swedish Nuclear Technology Center.

  • Senior Nuclear Expert, Project Management Office

    Former Project Manager at Oskarshamn 3 and later CEO at companies including Swepro Engineering, Vattenfall Energisystem, Vattenfall Vattenkraft, and OKG AB.

    Served as board member at OKG, FKA, Ringhals AB, Uddcomb Engineering, and Uddcomb International before retirement
