NNE and Arabelle Solutions to cooperate on the next generation of Nordic nuclear power
Nordic Nuclear Energy AB (NNE) and Arabelle Solutions have signed a Letter of Intent to set up a structured cooperation on developing and delivering the next generation of nuclear power projects in the Nordic region.
The cooperation brings together NNE's Nordic nuclear expertise and its focus on BWR-N, a large-scale evolutionary boiling water reactor, with Arabelle Solutions' world-class turbine hall technology for nuclear new-build projects around the world.
Experts in their fields
NNE was founded with the ambition of becoming a regional and global leader in nuclear power plants, built on safety, innovation and sustainability. The company's commercial focus is BWR-N, where N stands for Nordic: an evolutionary boiling water reactor platform developed for large-scale, fossil-free baseload power and adapted to Nordic regulatory and industrial requirements.
Arabelle Solutions' highly efficient and reliable Arabelle steam turbine has been delivered to, or ordered for, more than 50 large nuclear units worldwide. The company's expertise covers steam turbines, generators, heat exchangers, pumps and nuclear machine controls.
From evolutionary reactor design to commercial operation
The cooperation will focus on aligning Arabelle Solutions' turbine island with the BWR-N platform. The two companies will jointly assess and develop how the technologies can be integrated into an efficient and robust solution for the Nordic market. This integration is an important step from technical feasibility to industrial delivery capability.
